Beeswax candles have been highly prized since ancient times. Honey bees make their wax from flower nectar. Beeswax candles capture the flower’s sweet fragrance and release it when lit. Pure beeswax candles burn cleaner, last longer, and shine brighter than other wax candles.
Over time, pure beeswax may develop a film on its surface called bloom, which can easily be removed by buffing with a soft cloth. This is the result of softer oils rising to the surface. Once removed, the bloom will reappear. Bloom does not affect how beeswax candles burn.
To minimize smoke, use a snuffer to extinguish the flame. Keep burning candles away from drafts. For proper burning of beeswax candles, trim wick to 1/4" before burning each time. Burn candles only in a fireproof container. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
