Stockmar Opaque Watercolor Set
The Stockmar Opaque Watercolor Set contains 12 intensely pigmented, artist quality watercolor pigment tabs, one tube of opaque white, a cat's tongue brush and a removable tin palette - all packaged in an artistically shaped tin box. The twelve opaque color pigments include carmine red, vermillion, golden yellow, lemon yellow, blue green, ultramarine, red violet, rust, black, Prussian blue, orange and sap green.
The 12 featured colors in the Stockmar Opaque Watercolor Set are an extended version of Goethe's color circle. Stockmar colors are delicately balanced with one another, and when mixed will yield harmonious shades of color. Each watercolor tab is easily removable and may be replaced.
Stockmar Opaque colors have a unique luminosity due to their intense concentration of color, suitable for a wide range of painting techniques. The important thing about opaque painting is to have plenty of paint on the brush. To get the required intensity, apply the wet brush to the color tab and stir the pigment until small bubbles appear. To brighten the color and acquire a pastel tone, add opaque white.

Due to their high pigment content, the Stockmar Opaque Watercolor Set may be used for classic watercolor or Lazure painting. In Lazure painting, you apply a layer of color on top of a previous color after it is dry. This technique has a delicate charm of its own.
